Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Habit Protector, including its protection rules, challenges, account features, and subscriptions.

Effective: October 6, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and the provider of Habit Protector identified on your app-store listing (Vitality Trails on Google Play). By installing, accessing, or using Habit Protector, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Habit Protector is not designed for children or for use as a parental-control or employee-monitoring product.

3. What Habit Protector does

Habit Protector lets you create rules that pause access to selected apps until you complete a short challenge, such as guided breathing, grounding, or movement. It may also provide daily summaries, optional account sync, and paid features on Android, Android TV, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Available challenges and protection capabilities depend on the platform.

Device manufacturers, operating-system versions, permissions, battery settings, other applications, and network conditions can affect enforcement. The app is a self-management aid, not a guarantee that any application or content will always be blocked.

Mac protection runs in your user session while Habit Protector is running. Closing the window keeps protection active; Quit, force termination, or signing out ends it. Start at Login is optional. The Mac app does not block websites or provide tamper-proof protection.

4. Permissions and your responsibilities

Some features require Android Accessibility or usage access, Apple Screen Time, Health or motion access, notifications, or other device settings. You choose whether to grant these permissions and can revoke them in your operating-system settings, but doing so may prevent protection rules from working.

You are responsible for:

  • configuring rules that are appropriate for your circumstances;
  • keeping access available to emergency, safety, work, or essential services;
  • maintaining control of your device and account credentials;
  • complying with laws and third-party rights; and
  • checking that your protection plan behaves as expected after updates.

5. Health and safety

Habit Protector is a productivity and digital-wellbeing tool. It is not medical care, therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support. Breathing, grounding, and movement prompts are general exercises and may not be suitable for everyone.

Stop a challenge if you feel pain, dizziness, distress, shortness of breath, or discomfort. Seek qualified medical advice when appropriate, and contact local emergency services in an emergency.

6. Accounts and sync

An account is optional. If you create one, provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Sync is intended as a convenience and should not be treated as the only backup of important information.

You may delete an account through the in-app deletion flow. Deleting an account removes supported synced data but may not remove local settings from every device. Account deletion does not cancel a store subscription; manage it separately through the store where you paid.

7. Free and paid features

Habit Protector may offer free functionality and paid Pro features. The features, limits, prices, trial terms, billing period, and renewal terms shown at purchase are part of these terms.

  • Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store.
  • Subscriptions renew unless canceled through the billing store before renewal.
  • Refunds, cancellations, payment methods, taxes, and billing disputes are handled under the billing store's applicable terms and local law.
  • We may adjust future pricing or available features with any notice required by your billing store or applicable law.

On Apple devices, manage subscriptions in your Apple Account's Subscriptions settings. Use Restore purchases in Habit Protector to recover eligible purchases made with the same store account. A lifetime purchase, when offered, is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use Habit Protector unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights;
  • use it to monitor or control another person without valid authority and consent;
  • interfere with, overload, probe, or circumvent the app or its security;
  • reverse engineer or extract source code except where law expressly permits it;
  • introduce malware, automated abuse, or false purchase information; or
  • resell or commercially exploit the service without written permission.

9. Ownership and license

Habit Protector, its branding, interface, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to its provider and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you control for your own lawful purposes.

You keep ownership of information you provide. You grant us only the rights needed to host, process, sync, and transmit it to operate features you choose.

10. Third-party services

Habit Protector relies on Android, Apple platforms and the App Store, Google Play, Firebase, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and other platform services. Their availability and separate terms are outside our control. Links to third-party services do not imply endorsement or responsibility for their content.

11. Changes and availability

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the app, maintain security, comply with law, or respond to platform changes. Updates may be required for continued use. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Habit Protector is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or guaranteed blocking, habit, health, or productivity results. Mandatory consumer guarantees that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Habit Protector provider and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, or harm resulting from reliance on a protection rule. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Habit Protector during the 12 months before the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may restrict or end access if you materially violate these terms, create security or legal risk, or if the service is discontinued. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive.

15. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Habit Protector provider, without overriding mandatory consumer rights or protections available in your place of residence. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a legally available consumer forum.

16. General terms

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in effect. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganization, financing, sale, or legal succession. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about your use of Habit Protector.

17. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The current version and effective date will be posted here. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.

18. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the verified developer support contact on the Habit Protector Google Play listing.
